Purpose

Everyone has his own specific vocation or mission in life…
Therein he cannot be replaced, nor can his life be repeated.
Thus, everyones task us as unique as his specific opportunity
to implement it.”
“Ultimately, man should not ask what the meaning of his life is,
but rather must recognize that it is he who is asked.
In a word, each man is questioned by life:
and can only respond by being responsible.

Until One Is Commitment
When we make a true decision, we feel a tremendous amount of relief. We’ve finally gotten off the fence. We all know how great it feels to have a clear, objective. This kind of clarity gives us the power to produce the results that we really want for our life. It begins with Knowing your Values… such as
Values Excellent Quality Innovation Teamwork Success Integrity Excitement together with Clarity of your Purpose. “You do not want to climb the ladder,… to find that you don’t like the view” Know your values. Know your purpose.

Imagine you’re thinking of starting a business. You’ve got this amazing idea, but you’re not exactly sure where to start. Well, here’s the thing – having a clear purpose is like having a solid foundation for your business. It’s the reason why your business exists beyond just making money. It’s what makes your business meaningful and impactful.

Take, for example, a hair salon. We will call it Avant Salon. Sure, Avant could be all about cutting hair, but what if they had a purpose beyond that? What if their goal was to create a warm and inviting space for the community, a place where people can connect and build relationships in a “salon” atmosphere of inclusiveness? An education destination, for Avants team, of continual personal improvement and professional growth. That’s a purpose that goes beyond counting the beans – it’s about fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie.

Now, let’s talk about the vision. Your purpose is like the “why” of your business, while the vision is the “what” – what you aspire to achieve in the long run. It’s like a big, bold dream that guides your business towards success.

So, going back to our hair salon example, their vision might be something like becoming the go-to salon in the city. They want to be known for their exceptional service, unique atmosphere, and of course, their amazing talented stylist. Having a clear vision such as, Contributing to the wellness of mind, body, and spirit to all we touch, helps the salon owners and their team stay focused and motivated. It’s like having a lighthouse to steer the ship towards their goals.

Now, let’s zoom in a bit and talk about the mission. If the vision is the destination, then the mission is the roadmap that helps you get there. It outlines the strategies and actions you’ll take to fulfill your purpose and achieve your vision. “We at AVANT Salon strive for quality in service and education through excellence, teamwork, and industry. These qualities allow us to be a progressive and innovative salon as we maintain the highest level of creativity and integrity”

In the case of our salon, their mission could be to source organic products from sustainable farms that support indigenous people hire friendly and skilled stylist, and offer a diverse menu of hair and beauty services, all supported with organic, earth friendly products. This mission statement sets the direction for their daily operations and helps them make decisions that align with their purpose and vision.

And guess what? We’re not done yet! We’ve got one more element to talk about – the daily mantra. As an Example, My personal MANTRA(s) are “Be Kind, Not Right” and Be Interested, “Not Interesting”. Avant Salon MANTRA will be like the little cheerleader that keeps everyone motivated and in sync.

Picture this: Every morning, as the Avant Salon Team team gets ready to open for the day, they gather around and say their daily mantra: “We are DayMakers .” It’s short, powerful, and easy to remember. This daily mantra reminds them of their purpose, vision, and mission, and it sets the tone for the day ahead.

So, how do you create these essential elements for your business? Let’s break it down:

  1. Purpose:
    • Think about what drives you and what problem your business can solve.
    • Craft a clear and concise purpose statement that expresses your business’s unique contribution.
  2. Vision:
    • Envision the ideal future for your business, considering your long-term goals and aspirations.
    • Align your vision with your purpose, making sure it reflects your core values and passions.
  3. Mission:
    • Define your target audience and the key products or services you’ll offer.
    • Combine these elements into a compelling mission statement that outlines your business’s distinct offerings.
  4. Daily Mantra:
    • Summarize your purpose, vision, and mission into a short and inspiring phrase.
    • Make it easy to remember so that everyone in your team can recite it daily.

In conclusion, starting a business with a clear purpose supported by a well-defined vision, mission, and daily mantra is like having a compass that guides you towards success. These elements give your business direction, meaning, and motivation. So, as you embark on your entrepreneurial journey, remember to set your purpose, dream big with your vision, strategize with your mission, and cheer on with your daily mantra! Your business will thank you for it.
